Hola chicas, happy Friday and cheers to the weekend! Last week I was contacted about an opportunity to model a swimsuit on Great Day Houston so I pondered for a few, read the email at least 3 times and thought only someone INSANE would agree to wear a swimsuit on TV! Call me crazy but I said o what the hell and agreed to put all those years of ‘Top Model’ watching and tips from Tyra Banks to use.
Let’s be honest I’m not completely insane and the option of rocking a string bikini on TV – well that was NOT going to happen! So all my fears were cast aside thanks to swimwear designer Lori Coulter, the more conservative line focuses on a perfect fit that accentuates your assets and enhances your confidence. I felt like a million bucks in my suit, I rocked it cause full coverage = confidence. Staying true to my style added a little head scarf and my mirrored glasses to finish my look and of course heels to make those legs pop!

As we chatted before the filming, Lori mentioned you know we as women are so self-conscious in our teens and twenties when we look great in a bikini. And as we get older we finally reach a point of self acceptance with our bodies and begin to love ourselves. I have to agree while I’m by no means out of shape (thanks crossfit) I still obsess cause my thighs sometimes touch and I don’t have a perfectly sculpted six-pack. But you know what I can complain forever or just embrace it and LOVE me for me! The things we learn as we age….your 30′s are something else I tell ya
